Then: In 2007, Susan Seacrest had just received $250,000 from the Heinz Foundation, which she invested in the Groundwater Foundation, a campaign to cut nitrate levels in Nebraska’s groundwater.
Now: Seacrest has resigned from the Groundwater Foundation and is working as a high school counselor in Lincoln, Neb. The foundation has more than 5,000 members worldwide. Visit www.groundwater.org.
