Hanley Wood’s Commercial Construction Group is seeking entries for the 2015 Triad Award, sponsored by Concrete Construction, The Concrete Producer, and Public Works magazines. This annual award honors outstanding publicly-owned concrete projects that demonstrate innovation, sustainability, and leadership. This year, we are focusing on projects employing portland limestone cement (PLC), especially in the areas of infrastructure construction.

The winning project, and two runners-up, will be featured in each of the sponsoring magazines as well as at a World of Concrete Luncheon and Forum (Feb. 5, 2015), where project team members will be invited to participate. Although the award will be given to a project, the recognition will be of the project team: the owner, contractor, and concrete supplier.

2015 Triad Award entries must meet the following criteria:

  • Projects must be located in North America
  • Projects must be completed or scheduled for completion between 1/1/2013 and 1/1/2015
  • Projects must be owned or commissioned for use by a public entity. Examples include: transportation facilities (bridge, terminal, highway, port, airport), water/wastewater facility, public buildings, memorials, publicly owned sports facilities and parks
  • The winning project will be selected based on the team’s demonstration of innovation, sustainability, and sustainability while showcasing the use of portland limestone cement (PLC) as a key element of its success.

Please submit a description of the project (up to 500 words), at least three high resolution photos, and project contact information to Shelby Mitchell at [email protected] by Friday, November 14th. The Triad Award and the WOC luncheon are being supported by Holcim with additional sponsorship welcomed from other industry manufacturers interested in supporting the goals of the Award.
