The Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) “smart flare” provide directional information not available with traditional magnesium perchlorate flame road flares. Powered by four, off-the-shelf AA alkaline batteries, each blue, orange, red, or yellow ICS has three LEDs on each side and four LEDs on top that can be programmed to flash sequentially like airport runway lights. The ICS has a magnetic base so it can be attached to a vehicle to create a light bar. It can also be deployed alone, on the ground, or within traffic cones. Rechargeable system available.
