Mason, OH – When the Horned Frogs of Texas Christian University celebrated their arrival in the Big 12 with a victory over Grambling State University, the newly renovated Amon G. Carter Stadium was rocking with Horned Frog faithful. Fans flocked to the new and improved facilities, enjoying the suites, club seats, new and more comfortable seating, wider concourses, new and improved restrooms and concession areas, handicapped accessible areas, new elevators and escalators, new lighting and even a new press box. Included in the $164 million renovation are the more than 100 decorative, durable, metal waste & recycling receptacles from Witt Industries to keep the facility looking great.
"We expect the stadium renovation to transform the game-day experience of every Horned Frog fan” said T. Ross Bailey, TCU's Associate Athletics Director. “A key element of that experience is a facility free of trash and debris – which is achieved through the addition of 102 custom waste & recycling containers. These containers extend our sustainability initiatives while building the Horned Frogs brand.”
Combining aesthetics with functionality, these custom containers feature the Texas Christian Horned Frog logo on the receptacles which are powder coated to match the university’s color scheme. The receptacles are enhanced with protective coated bases to add durability and protect the stadium concrete.
“Witt is excited to be a part of Texas Christian University inaugural Big 12-Season and we look forward to keeping Amon G. Carter Stadium clean and looking great for years to come” commented John Winfield, Witt National Sales Manager. “As the premier leader in sports ventures, we are honored that Texas Christian University joins our list of collegiate stadiums that have select the Witt Stadium Series logo waste receptacles as their choice of receptacles for concourse. The $164 million stadium renovation project and moved into Big 12 is a large commitment by the university. Witt is delighted to be part of positive fan experience.”
