
Apis Cor, a Russian 3D printing construction company, and Sunconomy, a U.S. construction company, have received permits to build their first 3D printed concrete house in Lago Vista, Texas. The single-family "Genesis model" homes will go up in a single day, while generating virtually no waste on the jobsite. The structures are highly sustainable, able to withstand up to 220 mph winds from an EF 5 tornado and 8.0+ earthquakes.
The Sunconomy and Apis Cor collaboration printed a full-scale house for the first time in Stupino, Russia. The concrete mix was adjusted to the cold climate by using a loose dry insulating material for part of the home and polyrethane filler composition on the other.
